GP requested blood testing at the surgery
If your GP requires you to have a blood test, please book an appointment with the phlebotomist at the surgery. You can do this in the usual way, either online or by calling your surgery. We are unable to take bloods that have been requested by the a consultant/hospital.
Outpatient blood testing at Cirencester Hospital
For safety reasons, blood tests on a drop-in basis are no longer being carried out at Cirencester Hospital. This is due to COVID-19 and the need to ensure that patients and staff can maintain social distancing. It will also mean that you are less likely to have to wait for your appointment.
Monday & Tuesday morning clinics at Cirencester Hospital
There is now a bookable blood testing clinic at Cirencester Hospital every Monday & Tuesday mornings between 08:30 and 12:00. This service is strictly available only for patients over the age of six who need to have blood tests as part of their consultant outpatient care.

- Appointments can be made by someone else if required
- You will need a physical copy of the blood request form provided by your consultant. Digital copies of blood test request forms will not be accepted
- If you cannot attend the appointment do not worry, you will be able to make another appointment

Children under the age of six
Children under six years of age will need to attend Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for their blood test.
If you are a maternity patient, you will be advised by your midwife. Please contact your midwife if you have any concerns.
